Which Rehab Method Actually Works? Tier List

Ontogeny helps to answer your questions

It helps to organise all of the various things you might come across in physical healthcare…

I learnt about a lot of things at university, studying physiotherapy. But I was missing a foundation that would help me really understand what I was doing.

If you are interested in helping people with a simple, holistic and integrative healthcare…

you need to go beyond just managing parts and chasing pain.

You need to find a better understanding.

Ontogeny is a new specialty – a new vocation/profession in healthcare! 🙂

Neurologist Professor Karel Lewitt described it in his textbook in 1985 as… “a specialty which deals with the whole of the locomotor system, and in particular, its function.”

See, locomotion (basic human movement) has a source…

that is ontogenesis – the naturally process by which all of our movement abilities develop.

Ontogenesis is the foundation for rehabilitation. So it can help us to organise the profession and achieve better outcomes!

A little more on ontogenesis…
Ontogenesis (or Ontogeny) is the innate developmental process of the body.
It looks like the developmental milestones

It happens in response to physical stimulus. The body is always responding to its environment.

But when we can’t sense the environment rightly, or support is missing, the body adapts by bracing. It’s development is limited.
Clinical Ontogenesis
Is a healthcare service that uses specific body positioning and biomechanical inputs to stimulate ontogenesis

It helps people to find better coordination and thrive

it supports general health and offers new hope to those in need

Our goal is to build a network of practitioners who can help people using ontogenesis

for a brighter future for Australia
and the world.
